Essential oils in bath
One of the most common mistakes made when using essential oils is dropping them directly into bath water. Here is the best tip on how to avoid a nasty skin reaction to undiluted essential oils in your bath.
- Mix them in a vegetable oil before adding them to your bathwater. That’s it!
Essential oils do not mix with water, they float in tiny droplets on the surface. In baths, there is a very high risk of irritation, since undiluted droplets of essential oil attach to the skin, often in sensitive areas.
Also, the hot water in the bath can make the situation even worse!
